Basic Information
Anatomy
Wyrms are generally known for their aquatic adaptations; they lack wings, are always scaled, and have fins and sails across their bodies in addition to webbed feet, while their tail is even more muscular and capable, allowing it to be used as a form of aquatic propulsion for quick movement underwater.
Biological Traits
Like the lung, wyrms are known for their magical excellence, though it is not consistently as potent as a lung by any stretch. They trade the physical prowess of the wuivre and the agility of the wyverns to achieve their feats, but if this was all they were known for, they would be regarded as an inferior version of the lung.
Fortunately, it isn't. Wyrms are notable among the imperial dragons for their incredibly large variance in terms of power, with them varying from the weakest imperial dragons by a large margin (weaker than a lung whelp) to the greatest of the race, though the elder dragons are on a completely different tier of power, and generally operate independently of these norms (so a wyrm that is the greatest of the race that is also an elder dragon will not necessarily be the greatest elder dragon). The actual strength of a wyrm appears to somewhat be a genetic matter, but it's also often just luck of the draw as it were, and their racial classes vary a little as a result too.
