The 'standard' when discussing an imperial dragon; wuivre are the type with the four legs, the large tail, the pair of large wings and so on. There's many subtle variations of wuivre; some have feathered wings, others have leather wings, they generally feature spines that run down their backs, but not always, and so on.

Wuivre are generally known to be physical monsters, brutal powerhouses able to decimate almost any other race in a straight-up contest of strength, and are particularly famous for being the only kind of imperial dragon with a natural breath attack (usually fire, but any element is possible). All imperial dragons possess breath attacks, but they are magically generated, meaning anti-magic zones stifle them, but this is not the case with the wuivre.
